What is Exordium Heroes?
Exordium Heroes is a premiere character customization tool to help tabletop RPG gamers visualize the character they will be playing. Once created you will be able to use the art in a variety of ways, VTT tokens, printed character sheets, character cards, 2D cutout minis, and more. You can use it for making cover art for your own stories, or even use it as inspiration for cosplay.
What is your mission?
Our mission is to create fun entertainment for gamers of all types. With current technology, it's now so much easier for digital tools to be a part of the traditional pen and paper tabletop market. Using our past experience making games we aim to augment traditional gaming in new and exciting ways while supporting traditional gameplay scenarios.
Is this for a specific tabletop RPG?
We are aiming for this tool to be as platform agnostic as possible. It's essentially a very fancy paper doll system, which we feel is a very versatile direction for the tool. You can use this in any traditional fantasy RPG, book cover art, graphic novels, etc... We want it to be as accessible as it can be for everyone. If you want to visualize a fantasy character you created, then this is the tool to use.
How many races will you have?
We are aiming to have at least 12-15 races at launch. We want to give players the opportunity to create whomever they want as much as possible. Our next big challenge will be creating a digitigrade character and adding it to the system. Once we tackle that, it will open up a whole slew of character race types. Stay tuned for that update.
Where can I provide feedback?
The meat and potatoes of why this site is even up right now! We don't want to create this tool in a vacuum, so we actively want to get feedback from the community as we work on the tool. We are a small team of two right now and are eager to get to know more people who are as excited about this as we are. So join Discord to be a part of the process of Exordium Heroes development. Who are you? What is your experience?
Chad Hamlet, co-founder, and CEO of Yonder Pixels is an Art Director within the video games industry, with over 20 years of experience on AAA game projects, including the development of six different character creation systems. Cindy Hamlet, co-founder and Executive Producer for Yonder Pixels. holds two Master's degrees and is a former program director with adept skills in organization, budgeting, personnel management, and creative problem-solving. Together we have three "co-workers" under the age of ten who provide spontaneous, unfiltered commentary, demand frequent snack breaks, and occasionally drop in on business meetings.
How will I use this tool?
Along with actually building the character, we want to provide several options for how you can utilize the art created from this tool. VTT tokens, Character Sheet art, NPC cards, or even printed cutout art you can use for tabletop play. We are still exploring more methods for how the art can be used, so feel free to reach out if you have an idea on where you would like to use it.
